Isaiah 6:7-10 Inner Call
Isaiah 6:7-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The vision begins with a cleansing touch that purges sin, followed by a divine call to go and speak. The people who hear are depicted as resistant, so healing comes only when the heart truly understands.
Neville's Inner Vision
Seeing this text through the Neville lens, the whole scene is a drama of inner state. The laying of the coal upon the lips is not ritual but the moment your awareness is moved to speak from the I AM. 'Lo, this hath touched thy lips' means a cleansing of self-concept—your old stories about sin and failure are purged by the recognition that guilt is a thought, not a fact. When the voice asks, 'Whom shall I send?', the real question is: which version of you will answer from the stillness of God within? The daring 'Here am I; send me' is your decision to make imagination your instrument and to identify with the one who speaks for divine purpose. To 'go, and tell this people' is to project a new frequency into your outer world, a message that their ears and eyes may resist, yet the inner turn of the heart can heal. The harsh commands about hardening the heart reveal the resistance of habitual beliefs; but healing comes when you stop listening to the outer noise and understand with the heart, converting belief into living presence.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Close your eyes and assume the state, 'I AM purified and sent,' and feel that this is already true in you. Then envision speaking within and hearing 'Here am I; send me,' while allowing your heart to understand, transforming belief into action.
