Purified Voice, Pure Calling
Isaiah 6:5-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Isaiah feels unworthy before the King, is cleansed by a seraph’s touch, and is commissioned to go speak for God.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the Isaiah scene you are not observing a distant event but awakening your own inner state. The King, the LORD of hosts, is the I AM within your consciousness. Your sense of unworthiness—the imagined uncleanness of your lips—reflects a mistaken self-talk that you are separate from divine direction. The seraph’s coal represents a shift in awareness, a purification of speech and belief that makes you ready to choose a new orientation. When iniquity is purged, the purification reveals that guilt is a false identity you can release in the instant you acknowledge your true nature. The question, 'Whom shall I send?' arises from your now-cleared state, and the answer, 'Here am I; send me,' marks your commitment to act from truth rather than fear. The whole drama teaches that cleansing and calling are processes of consciousness, not external ritual. By claiming the I AM within and imagining yourself aligned with your vocation, you become the reality you seek. Thus, Neville’s practice: envision yourself already purified and commissioned, and live from that inner certainty.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are the I AM perceiving the King within; picture a radiant coal purifying your lips and declaring, 'I am cleansed; my words are true.' Then hear a quiet inner voice ask, 'Whom shall I send?' and answer, 'Here am I; send me.'
