Biblical Context
Isaiah 6:1-4 describes a vision of God seated on a high throne in a temple filled with glory. Seraphim proclaim holiness, the posts shake, and the space is filled with smoke, signaling a profound divine presence entering the scene.
Neville's Inner Vision
Verse 6:1-4 is not about geography but the throne room of your own consciousness. In the vision the LORD sits on a high throne, and the train fills the temple—this is the awakening of awareness filling your mental space. The seraphim with six wings, two covering face and feet, evoke the disciplined faculties of perception that cover themselves in reverent awe, yet remain ready to move at your command. The cry 'Holy, holy, holy' proclaims the absolute sanctity of your being, the endless glory that the earth, the entire field of experience, cannot escape. When the doorposts shake and the house fills with smoke, do not think this is external weather; it is the shifting of belief as your inner atmosphere thickens with the sense of God present. Uzziah’s death represents an old self-identity dissolving, making room for the Lord to reign in present consciousness. The whole scene is a description of your own inner kingdom: you are the LORD of hosts within, and your reality expands to fill all your experience.
Practice This Now
Imaginatively take the throne now: feel the I AM ruling within you. Let the temple fill with glory as the old self dies and this sovereign presence becomes your lived reality.
