Inner Light Beyond Judgment

Isaiah 59:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 59 in context

Scripture Focus

9Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
Isaiah 59:9

Biblical Context

The verse portrays a soul feeling judgment and justice far away. It describes waiting for light while walking in darkness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Isaiah speaks not of a distant fate, but of the inner climate you inhabit. Judgment far from you and justice not overtaking you reveal a mind lodged in lack, where light is sought as if it were outside your own being. In Neville’s terms, places and events are states of consciousness; you are the I AM experiencing itself through imagination. When you perceive yourself walking in darkness, you have allowed a belief that illumination rests elsewhere or in a future moment. The truth is that light and justice are already your inner constants, waiting to be recognized. By shifting the assumption you live from, you reverse the scene: you no longer await brightness; you become brightness. Assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled: you are the light, you are just, you are now, and the outer world will rearrange to reflect that inner state. Rest in the awareness that light is not distant because you are the I AM, and the noonday sun of your consciousness shines at this very moment.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and revise: I am the light now. Feel the brightness already within you and let it illuminate every thought you hold.
