Isaiah 59:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 59 in context

Scripture Focus

1Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
Isaiah 59:1

Biblical Context

God's saving power is always available and ready to hear; the verse points to the presence of God as close as your own awareness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Behold, the I AM is not distant, nor is Its ear blocked. In the Neville spirit, God is not out there coaxing you; God is the awareness you are. The 'hand' that saves is your own consciousness acting as law—your sense of being alive and awake. When you feel divided or desperate, you are only imagining yourself separate from that saving Presence. The verse invites you to invert the sense of lack by identifying with the I AM and declaring, I am saved now by consciousness that hears and heals. Imagination is the instrument of salvation; when you assume the state that you are already saved, the outer conditions begin to shift to match that inner tone. The 'hearing' is your inner attention; the moment you attend to the presence, the door opens. Do not seek salvation as something coming from outside; awaken to the fact that you are the living, aware I AM, and salvation becomes your immediate experience.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and revise your state to: 'I am saved now by the I AM within me.' Feel the relief as real as your breath, and imagine the inner arm lifting you into peace.
