Watered Garden Within
Isaiah 58:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 58 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God guides you continually, nourishes your soul even in hardship, and makes you like a flourishing, ever-flowing garden. Those connected with you will repair the ruins and restore the paths for many generations.
Neville's Inner Vision
Behold the inner clause: the Lord shall guide thee continually. This 'Lord' is your own I AM, the living awareness that never sleeps. When you feel drought, know that your soul is being satisfied by the nourishing light already present in you. Your bones are fat with the substance of fulfilled desire because you image them so. You are a watered garden, a perpetual spring; the waters do not fail because they are your own consciousness flowing. Those who come from you—your thoughts, your choices, your life—shall rebuild the old waste places by drawing upon the foundations you have chosen to restore. The breach is a fantasy of separation; the restorer of paths is your interior decision to dwell in the presence that heals. In practice, fix your attention on the feeling that you are being guided now, that your needs are met, and that your next move is already prepared. Then observe your circumstance shift as if you have stepped into the fulfilled state; the world follows the innermost conviction you hold.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the state: I am guided continually; I am a watered garden; the old waste places are being rebuilt. Feel it real as you dwell in this inner sense.
