Peace Proclaimed: Near and Far

Isaiah 57:19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 57 in context

Scripture Focus

19I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.
Isaiah 57:19

Biblical Context

God proclaims that the fruit of the lips yields peace for both near and far, and that healing will follow.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the words 'I create the fruit of the lips' you hear the claim that your speech is not mere sound but the outward seal of an inward state you have already imagined. Peace to the far and the near is not a future arrival but a present condition of consciousness you access by turning toward your I AM and speaking from that awareness. When you declare 'peace'—twice spoken as if to seal completion—you align your inner faculties with wholeness, inviting healing to flow through every part of you. The 'far off' and the 'near' touch different corners of the mind: distant fears and intimate hurts. Yet God’s promise remains: healing is present wherever consciousness rests. Therefore you must not seek peace as something outside you; you must assume it now as your true state, and let imagination convert images into reality. In this way, the verse becomes a practical technique: claim the fullness of peace, dwell in it, and observe healing follow as you feel it real.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, declare, 'I am the source of peace; I create the fruit of the lips now,' and feel the atmosphere soften as healing flows through me. Then remain in that feeling-state for a few minutes.
