Inner Righteousness Declared

Isaiah 57:12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 57 in context

Scripture Focus

12I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall not profit thee.
Isaiah 57:12

Biblical Context

God will declare your righteousness and your deeds, yet external righteousness and works do not profit you; true worth comes from your inner state of being.

Neville's Inner Vision

Isaiah whispers a truth you can practice now: the I AM within declares your righteousness, not your ledger of deeds. The 'I' you identify as self is not the doer; God is the awareness behind every act. When you accept that declaration, your works no longer earn you anything you lack; they simply express the living state you already possess. The clause 'for they shall not profit thee' is a corrective to the ego’s reliance on results. Profit comes from recognizing grace, not from achieving more. So you revise your story: you are not saved by the next good deed, you are saved by the inner verdict of God in you—that you are righteous now. Your imagination can enact this truth: see yourself as the I AM declaring your righteousness, and let every feeling you give to that state saturate your actions. The world will call it righteousness; your inner self knows it is grace in action. Rest there, and your life manifests as a natural fruit of the inner I AM.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, place a hand on your chest, breathe, and revise: 'I am the righteousness of God in me.' Feel the I AM within, and revise any sense of lack by imagining the grace saturating your every act; let your deeds spring from that consciousness.
