Inner House of Prayer
Isaiah 56:6-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 56 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Foreigners who join the LORD and keep the Sabbath will be brought to His holy mountain and welcomed in His house of prayer for all peoples; God also gathers others beyond Israel.
Neville's Inner Vision
Isaiah offers a map of consciousness. The 'stranger' is any part of me not yet joined to the Lord of my awareness. I choose to join that part to the LORD, aligning it with the I AM so energy moves into service and Sabbath becomes the rest of awareness. The covenant is my present assumption that I am already on the holy mountain, and my inner altar accepts all offerings my imagination can conceive. Mine house, the inner sanctuary, becomes a house of prayer for all people, including the parts I had cast out. The Lord GOD gathers the outcasts I once denied by my loving acceptance of them as myself. When I feel this unity, the world outside reflects it; my life becomes a living sign of inclusive presence. Imagination creates reality, and I remain awake within the I AM, knowing all are welcomed home.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit in silence and assume you are already at the Lord's holy mountain, with every hidden part of you united in service and prayer. Feel the interior sanctuary fill with inclusive presence until you know, by feeling, that all parts are welcomed home.
