Inner Justice and Sabbath Faith

Isaiah 56:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 56 in context

Scripture Focus

1Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
Isaiah 56:1-2

Biblical Context

God speaks to keep judgment and do justice, for salvation and righteousness are on the way. Those who keep the sabbath and refrain from evil are blessed.

Neville's Inner Vision

Picture the LORD as the I AM within you, the single, aware presence that orders every experience. When you keep judgment and do justice in your interior life, you are not waiting for God to act; you are changing your state of consciousness, and salvation draws near as the righteousness of that state is revealed. The Sabbath becomes not a day on the calendar but a mental rest from polluted thoughts; it is the pause in which you refuse to move in harmony with fear or evil, choosing to hold the truth you intend to realize. Blessing comes to those who maintain this discipline, for what you behold inwardly manifests outwardly as your world. The verse invites you to treat life as a script you author with the authority of the I AM, a law of assumption that makes the future present. Your task is to assume a just, blessed, and holy life until it stands seen in your affairs; salvation arrives as your own consciousness becomes the righteousness revealed.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the I AM as your standard of justice and rest in that awareness. For five minutes, dwell in a scene where you act rightly and feel salvation already near.
