Inner Witness, Global Call
Isaiah 55:4-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 55 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God appoints a witness and a leader for the people, and promises that unknown nations will come to you because of the Lord and the Holy One of Israel; He has glorified you.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice the verse is a description of a state of consciousness, not a historical event. I have given him for a witness to the people points to the I AM within you, the witness through which all life proves its truth. The 'leader and commander' is the inner authority you assume in imagination, a mental posture you inhabit until it is your habitual reality. The second line renders a universal invitation: nations you know not will run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee. These 'nations' symbolize the unseen parts of your life—a formerly distant aspect or problem that now responds to your inner claim. When you dwell in the feeling that you are already glorified, you awaken the law of consciousness: your inner state becomes outer form. The invitation is not external pressure but inward realization: begin with the imagined factuality that you are the recognized witness, the king within, and the world will adjust to reflect that inward governance. The Kingdom of God is simply the ordering of your mind such that awareness leads, and reality follows.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the state: I AM the witness and the inner king. Feel the world naturally drawn to your presence as you rest in that glorious inner recognition.
