Isaiah 54:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 54 in context

Scripture Focus

5For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
6For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.
Isaiah 54:5-6

Biblical Context

Verse 54:5-6 declares God as Maker and husband, the Redeemer as Holy One of Israel, and promises restoration for a forsaken, wounded heart.

Neville's Inner Vision

In your inner theatre, Isaiah 54:5-6 becomes a living decree: the Maker is your husband, the LORD of hosts the name by which reality is named, and the Redeemer Holy One of Israel the truth that makes you whole. In Neville’s psychology, God is not distant but the I AM you awaken to. The forsaken, grieving feeling is simply a misperception of separation from your own consciousness. The line about a wife of youth is a summons to recover the freshness of awareness, to return to the youth of your inner life. As you adopt this covenant in mind, life begins to reflect it: you are comforted, restored, and held by the very consciousness you call God. The God of the whole earth is your own awareness, claiming all you will claim in imagination. Do not chase external proof; revise the sense of lack until you feel the union as present now, and allow experience to fall into alignment with that state.

Practice This Now

Assume in imagination the state: the Maker is my husband, and the Lord of hosts dwells as my I AM. Feel the union present now and let restoration enter every area of life.
