Inner Shield Of The I Am
Isaiah 54:15-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 54 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Enemies may gather, but they do not come by God; their schemes will fail. God has created both the smith and the destroyer, yet no weapon formed against you prospers, for your righteousness is of the Lord.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your 'foes' are not people but states of consciousness that arise when you forget who you are. When Isaiah speaks of crowds gathering, he names thoughts, judgments, and memories that pretend authority in your life. Yet the I AM—your pure awareness—created even the smith and the destroyer; nothing arises outside your inner consent. The 'assembly' of voices may present themselves, but you do not empower them by identifying with them. Instead, assume the end: you are the unfaltering servant of the LORD, whose righteousness is of God. When you feel that you are protected, the instruments of destruction lose their sting, for you are not subject to their motion. This law works through your awareness, tailoring your experience to a state that outlasts every shifting scene. Inner reality precedes outer form; therefore no outer weapon can prosper against a mind that is one with the I AM. Condemn the idle tongue by affirming your oneness with divine order. Now, dwell in that state and let it govern every appearance.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine a radiant shield around you, your I AM presence. In this light, say to yourself, 'No weapon formed against me prospers; my righteousness is of God.'
