Righteousness Establishes You
Isaiah 54:14-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 54 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Isaiah 54:14-15 promises that you are established in righteousness, far from oppression, and free from fear and terror. It also notes that any gathering against you is not sanctioned by God, and such opposition will falter.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the scene as a law of consciousness. 'In righteousness shalt thou be established' is a statement about your inner state, not a weather report. When you decide, here and now, that you are the I AM, the awareness that never changes, you plant yourself in a harvest-field where oppression cannot take root. Fear and terror withdraw from the field because they are born of a belief in separation from the divine Presence. The verse says, 'for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee'—not as a warning to be guarded, but as a revelation of your established condition. The 'they shall gather' image represents the residual thoughts that oppose your new state, yet the line 'not by me' reminds you that their gathering has no power in your world when you stand rooted in the truth. Persist in this inner stance: imagine yourself already protected, whole, and free; let your feeling tone affirm that nothing outside can touch the state you occupy. In this, the outer scene aligns with your inner victory.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Inhale and affirm 'I am established in righteousness' while imagining a radiant circle of light surrounding you; exhale as fear dissolves and feel the I AM guarding your inner world.
