Footfalls of Inner Peace
Isaiah 52:7-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 52 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage proclaims good tidings, peace, salvation, and God's reign, calling Zion to rejoice, watchmen to unity, and the LORD to go before.
Neville's Inner Vision
On these verses I behold the mountains as my inner standpoints, and the feet that bring good tidings as the bold steps of imagination. When I say, 'Thy God reigneth,' I am not addressing an outer king but the I AM that rules my awareness. The messengers are the thoughts I choose to honor; the 'watchmen' are my focal points—the inner voices that keep watch until eye to eye, aligned with the divine timeline. The call to 'depart... from unclean things' invites me to separate lingering fear and doubt from the sacred vessels of my consciousness, to present the purity through which God’s presence can move. The promise that the LORD goes before me and is my rereward is an invitation to rest in a trusted inner itinerary rather than hurrying through life. When I practice assuming peace is present, I learn to walk with calm certainty, knowing that the whole exodus—from limitation to freedom—begins in the heart where God reigns.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine walking on a mountain with the message of peace in your mouth; declare 'Thy God reigneth in me' and feel the victory descend into your chest as you move forward without haste.
