Awakened Zion Garments of Strength

Isaiah 52:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 52 in context

Scripture Focus

1Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
2Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
Isaiah 52:1-2

Biblical Context

Isaiah 52:1-2 invites you to awaken your inner Zion, clothe yourself with strength and beauty, and release old impurities so the holy city remains free. It also commands you to shake off dust, rise, and sit in the renewed state of consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Zion is the state of consciousness you awaken in this moment. Awake, for you are the I AM wearing a garment of truth. The 'strength' and 'beautiful garments' are not outward rites but the felt assurance of your being—unshakable, holy, and free. The 'uncircumcised and the unclean' are merely thoughts and habits pressing at your inner gate; they cannot enter when you know who you are. Shake off the dust from old identifications; arise and sit down in the throne of awareness that you truly are. Jerusalem is your present center of consciousness, and the captive daughter is the old self bound by memory. When you assume the truth of your renewed state and feel it real, you transmute limitation into freedom and seal your inner city against what would defile it.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and, in your imagination, clothe yourself in radiant strength. Rehearse the feeling of Zion seated in its own throne, and declare softly, 'I am the holy city that nothing unclean can touch.'
