Awaken Zion’s Inner Garments
Isaiah 52:1-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 52 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Zion is urged to awaken, shake off the dust, and clothe herself in strength and beauty, for redemption comes by realization, not money. The passage promises that God goes before His people and that the watchmen will see eye to eye when consciousness awakens to His reign.
Neville's Inner Vision
Awaken, awake becomes the inner cry of consciousness that refuses to dream in limitation. Put on thy strength and thy beautiful garments are the acts of assuming a new state of being—an inner wardrobe of confidence, holiness, and fearless love. Zion and Jerusalem are not geographic, but your present states of awareness—set apart as the I AM, the witness within. The uncircumcised and the unclean symbolize old beliefs and habits you outgrown; you are not bound by them, for you are redeemed by realization, not price. My people went into bondage, but God’s speech within you declares, Behold, it is I. The good tidings and salvation are felt shifts: you see that your God reigns in you, and thus your life begins to turn toward joy and peace. Your watchmen—your vigilant thoughts—will sing when your consciousness believes in the sovereignty of the Lord in you. Depart from the old unclean vibration and let Zion depart from that dream. The Lord goes before you as the truth you claim; the visible salvation is the demonstration of your inner state made real.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and affirm the state, 'I AM Zion, awake and strong.' Hold that feeling for a minute, then act from it as if the Lord has already gone before you in all you do.
