Awaken Inner Arm of the Lord

Isaiah 51:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 51 in context

Scripture Focus

9Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?
10Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?
Isaiah 51:9-10

Biblical Context

The verses urge waking up to inner strength, recalling past acts that defeated chaos (Rahab and the sea-serpent), and declare that the Lord’s power opens a path for those who are redeemed.

Neville's Inner Vision

Awakening, then, is a turning of your entire consciousness from lack to strength. The 'arm of the LORD' is your I AM presence, the living power you can access in quiet, habitual acts of assumption. When you imagine you have cut Rahab and wounded the dragon, you are not boasting of outer feats; you are restoring the order of your inner climate. The dried sea is the fear and confusion that once blocked you; through steadfast feeling and inner decree you grade the sea into a path, and the ransomed—your true self awakened—move forward as if crossing a repaved inlet. The ancient days refer to the fixed, timeless truth inside you: that you are the one who makes of chaos a way. This is spiritual warfare waged in consciousness, not on a battlefield. Providence and guidance are the natural outcome of living by the I AM, not by circumstance. By remembering past inner victories and rehearsing this feeling now, you align with a reality that already exists in you.

Practice This Now

Assume the posture of the Arm of the LORD in your chest; feel the strength rise and the sea of fear recede. Revise any doubt with 'I am the ransomed; I pass over' and let the victorious feeling flood your being.
