Enduring Inner Righteousness
Isaiah 51:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 51 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage invites those who know righteousness to listen; the inner law remains, unaffected by external reproach, and righteousness plus salvation endure from generation to generation.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your hearings are not to a distant God outside you, but to the I AM within you, the still small voice that writes the law on your heart. When Isaiah speaks of those who know righteousness, he invites you to recognize that the ‘moth’ and ‘worm’ of the outer world are only images in a dream; they touch only the garment of life, not the substance within. The law hidden in your heart is God’s own present-tense knowing, the eternal righteousness that cannot fade. As you dwell in this inward awareness, the reproach of men loses its sting, for you are not a person being judged, you are the consciousness that witnesses and commands. The outward decay may appear, but the I AM remains: the righteousness you claim is your own being, not a borrowed reputation. Your salvation is the ongoing supply of life that flows from within generation after generation, because it is timeless awareness, not a momentary opinion. So live from the assumption that you are the truth of righteousness, revise every scene that contradicts it, and feel it real until it is your immediate experience.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, feel the I AM in your chest, and repeat 'I am righteousness' until it feels real. Then revise any troubling scene to reflect this inner state as already true.
