Redeemer Within, Oppressor's End

Isaiah 49:26 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 49 in context

Scripture Focus

26And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
Isaiah 49:26

Biblical Context

The verse promises that God will turn those who oppress you back on themselves, proving the Lord is your savior and redeemer. It also asserts that all flesh will recognize the LORD's saving power.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the oppressor is a stubborn thought-form—an image of lack, fear, or limitation arising in the theatre of your mind. Isaiah's words invite you to see that the oppressors are not outside forces but states of consciousness fed by your belief in separation. When you refuse to feed that image with fear and instead assume the reality of the I AM as savior, the scene begins to digest itself. The language of feeding them with their own flesh and drinking their blood is the mental law returning the energy to its source: the mind that imagines it. In your inner court, all flesh—every aspect of your self—will know that the Lord, your I AM, is the savior and redeemer. As you dwell in the conviction that you are already free, you reverse the effect; the oppressive picture loses color and power, evaporates into light. The oppressor bows to your awareness and dissolves, not by force, but by coming to know the truth you confessed: I am the mighty One of Jacob, present as your consciousness.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the I AM in you as savior. Revise the inner scene so the oppressor dissolves by its own energy, and feel the victory as already real.
