Inner Deliverance Isaiah 49:24-26

Isaiah 49:24-26 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 49 in context

Scripture Focus

24Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
25But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.
26And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
Isaiah 49:24-26

Biblical Context

The passage declares that captivity imposed by the mighty will be reversed. The LORD promises deliverance and salvation for His people, revealing Him as savior and redeemer.

Neville's Inner Vision

Shall the prey be taken from the mighty? The answer in this moment is not a political rearrangement but a vision: the captive you fear you are can be released by the I AM that you are. The ‘mighty’ and the ‘oppressor’ are inner states—habits of thought that pretend control. When you align with the LORD, that is, with your innermost awareness, the captives of the mind are taken away, and the 'prey' becomes no longer a victim but a Witness. I will contend with him that contendeth with thee: the I AM contends with every voice of doubt or blame within you, restoring harmony and release. I will save thy children: your future expressions, your inspirations and dreams, are safeguarded as you stand in the realized state. And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. In this, the imagery becomes a map: your opponents only reveal the power you awaken within.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of deliverance now. Revise every sense of captivity by stating I am free; I am the savior of my life, and feel the opposition dissolve as you imagine moving forward in light.
