Biblical Context
Isaiah 49:17-18 describes restoration: destroyers depart and the people are gathered, preparing the way for a future that is already present in consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Take the verse as a map of consciousness. Thy children shall make haste becomes the sudden surfacing of your inner gifts—creativity, hope, vitality—when you stop nursing doubt. Thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee translates to the departure of fear, guilt, and old self-concepts that wasted energy; they exit your inner city as you no longer plead to them. Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee expresses the gathering of desired faculties in your mind, waiting for your recognition. As I live, saith the LORD is the unconditional, living I AM within you confirming that you are already what you seek. Thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a bride doeth reveals the act of choosing these states as part of your self-image, adorning and securing you in readiness for life. The wedding of condition and form is present now in your imagination.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine a circle of your desired states—peace, health, purpose—gathering where you stand. Then revise your self-image by feeling yourself clothed with them, as an ornament, until the sense of 'I am this' is stronger than any doubt.
