Graven On God's Hands

Isaiah 49:15-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 49 in context

Scripture Focus

15Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
16Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
Isaiah 49:15-16

Biblical Context

God declares He will not forget you. You are continually seen by Him, as if carved on the palms of His hands, with your walls before Him.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the reader, this is not about history but about your inner state. The 'woman and child' are images of nurture and trust; God speaks as your I AM, saying you are never forgotten because your existence is the ongoing act of awareness. You are graven on the palms of the divine mind—your attention rooted there, permanently held by the Self. Your 'walls' are the inner horizons you keep before you, and they are not forgotten; they stand before the I AM in constant view. In Neville’s teaching, you are not a separate person observing God; you are the consciousness that imagines. The verse invites you to live from the conviction that your remembrance is the activity of God within; any fear of abandonment dissolves when you revise your sense of self to align with that inner memory. If you feel forgotten, revise by affirming I am the I AM, and this moment, I remember myself as God remembers me. Feel it real in the gut, and allow your world to respond accordingly.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and revise any sense of neglect by mentally citing I am graven on the palms of the hands and feel your I AM Presence engraving your name there. Repeat I am remembered by God until this becomes your everyday mood.
