Forsaken No More: Zion Reclaimed

Isaiah 49:14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 49 in context

Scripture Focus

14But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
Isaiah 49:14

Biblical Context

Zion laments being forsaken by the Lord; the text invites a shift from external abandonment to an inner state of consciousness where God is ever-present.

Neville's Inner Vision

Isaiah 49:14 speaks the cry of a people who feel forgotten, yet in the Neville mode of consciousness this is only a misread state of mind. The Lord—meaning your I AM—has not abandoned you; you have left the awareness that holds you. Zion’s words are the imprint of a belief that you exist as a separated self, apart from the fountain of life. Recognize that abandonment is only a thought, a temporary vibration in the mind. Return your attention to the inner seat of presence and declare, I am not forsaken; I am eternally held by the I AM that I am. In this shift, the feeling of loneliness dissolves as you dwell in the reality that the divine presence is your own consciousness, always awake, always attentive. By assuming the feeling that your needs are already met within this living presence, you rewrite the map of your experience. Imagination becomes the instrument by which you demonstrate your true state—not through outward proofs, but through the inner conviction that your inner Zion is secure.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, stand in the sense of I AM, and repeat 'I am the I AM; Zion within me is not forsaken.' Then imagine a light of presence wrapping you, guiding every step as you feel held by your own consciousness.
