Inner Cleansing Exposed
Isaiah 47:2-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 47 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse depicts stripping away ceremonial coverings and exposing nakedness, signaling a shift from outward ritual to inner truth. It also hints that the old pattern is judged by its own movements, inviting awakening.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the Neville manner, these lines are not a threat from a distant judge but a symbol of inner awakening. The millstones and grind meal are the stubborn habits of the ego you grind away in imagination, the locks and coverings are the identities you wear to protect an image of self. When consciousness rests in the I AM, these outward veils fall and your nakedness emerges as your true nature, seen by no one but you as the living presence of awareness. The line I will take vengeance and I will not meet thee as a man becomes the inner law of consciousness, which does not tolerate illusions of separation. You are not being punished; you are being cleaned by your own realization that the self is God within. Holiness and integrity arise as you align with the I AM, letting the old self dissolve. The call is to accept this exposure as healing, to stop chasing after man or ritual and to dwell in the sustained radiation of the inner light that truly judges nothing, yet reveals all.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Assume you are already the I AM and feel your inner light removing the outer veil. Revise any sense of lack by affirming in your mind, I am seen and complete.
