The Inner Flame of Deliverance
Isaiah 47:14-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
External powers and partners that you leaned on will fail you. You’ll be left alone in the fire of trials, with no external warmth to comfort you.
Neville's Inner Vision
See the scene as a movement within your psyche: the traders and allies you trusted are mere images in your own consciousness—habits, identities, and attachments you have dressed as protection. When they burn away, you feel the heat of separation, and the old sense of safety dissolves. But take this heat not as punishment, but as a purifier that reveals a single, unalterable fact: no external power can deliver you; your true deliverer is the I AM you already are. The 'fire' is simply the clearing of misidentification—seeing that you have been investing life in others rather than in the essential Self. In this clarity, you discover you are the one who breathes life into those images, the one who labels warmth and safety on the world’s coins. The moment of exile from the marketplace becomes communion with a constant source within you. Thus, with every loss, you become more fully awake to your original status as the one I AM, eternally nourished by the inner flame that never goes out.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, feel the inner warmth rising from your chest, and repeat: 'I AM the warmth in me; I am deliverance now.' Let the sense of dependence on others melt, resting in the awareness that the I AM within sustains you in every trial.
