The 'multitude of thy sorceries' are the recurring thoughts and tricks you have trusted from youth; the 'astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators' are the forecasts you feed yourself from outside, hoping for relief. They shall be as stubble and burn; they cannot deliver you from the fire of change that comes when consciousness awakens. The verse is not a history lesson but a map: do not invest your life in outer people, systems or tokens of power, for none can save you from the inward demand for renewal. The deliverer is the I AM within, your eternal awareness that never dies. When you revise your belief and accept that the power to be free resides in you now, the old scenes melt away, the habitual merchants lose their grip, and you stand refreshed as the fire becomes warmth from within. You behold your own inner sovereignty.
