The Hidden God Within

Isaiah 45:15-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 45 in context

Scripture Focus

15Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.
16They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.
Isaiah 45:15-16

Biblical Context

God is described as a hidden Savior, and those who fashion idols will be ashamed and confounded. It points to inner faith over external constructs.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this passage, God is the I AM that hides as the glorious Savior within every soul. The 'hidden' nature is not absence, but the quiet presence you awaken to when you turn your attention inward. The idols-makers are the parts of you that split power away from the self: fear, lack, dependency, and separation. When you refuse to grant external forces control and instead assume the state 'I AM' as your reality, the outer idols collapse into confusion—your inner sense of limitation dissolves and a singular, gracious sovereignty remains: your consciousness. The verse invites you to live from that inner Savior, not from defense against appearances. As you dwell in the realization that the Savior is the I AM in you, you stop struggling with appearances and begin to imagine from the end: harmony, abundance, and health as Already-present. Salvation is not earned; it is recognized as your current state of awareness.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly and repeat 'I AM' as the feeling of your present Savior. Then revise any belief in external power by affirming 'I am saved by my inner God' until the image lands as fact.
