Raising the Inner Cyrus
Isaiah 45:13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 45 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God declares He has raised Cyrus up in righteousness, will direct all his ways, and through him build His city and release captives, without price.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this promise you are invited to awaken a state of consciousness that acts as Cyrus in your own mind. ‘I have raised him up in righteousness’ speaks not of a man but of a rightly ordered I AM, a kingly awareness placed in you to govern every thought and sensation. When God says He will direct all his ways, understand that your awareness is directing the currents of feeling, belief, and action toward the fulfilled, whole life you imagine. ‘He shall build my city’ becomes the creation of an inner commonwealth—a steadiness of mind, a sense of safety, abundance, and harmony that you inhabit by assumption. And ‘he shall let go my captives’ is the loosening of limiting beliefs, fears, and old narratives that kept you bound; this release comes not from external bargaining but from the obvious power of consciousness willing to accept the truth of your freedom. The gift is not reward from another; it is the natural effect of identifying with the I AM and living as the governor of your experiences. You are the one who builds, liberates, and directs, from the certainty that you are already the I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, declare I AM the raised one, directing all my ways; feel the inner city building and captives released as already accomplished.
