This is not distant petition but an invitation to recognize that you and your world are formed by your inner state. When you realize you are the maker, the earth and heavens are not separate heavens to be begged from but expressions of your current awareness. Your imagination becomes the instrument whereby you acknowledge, by assumption, that the future is already shaped by the I AM within you. The verse invites you to cease longing outwardly and to assume dominion inwardly, for the I AM is the source of all order and Providence.
