Inner Creation Speaks

Isaiah 44:24-28 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 44 in context

Scripture Focus

24Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
25That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish;
26That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:
27That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers:
28That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.
Isaiah 44:24-28

Biblical Context

The LORD declares the I AM who formed you and makes all things. He will frustrate liars, turn wise men backward, and fulfill his servant's words—rebuilding Jerusalem and laying its foundations.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your life is not a passing event but a dream you awaken within. When the verse declares the LORD as the redeemer and the I AM who makes all things, it is speaking to your own inner awareness. The I AM stretches the heavens and spreads the earth by itself, and in that act of inner power you are kept safe from deception, for the tokens of liars are frustrated and the so-called wise are turned backward. In your inner speech, the mighty knowledge of old returns to its right use, for you have chosen the sovereign idea that governs every moment. The line that confirms the word of his servant and performs the counsel of his messengers becomes your faith in the imagination of your own being. Jerusalem shall be inhabited—the inner city where peace, order, and purpose reside. To the deep the word comes: Be dry; and you dry up the rivers of limitation by choosing to be already there. Cyrus, the shepherd of your inner purpose, leads you to the rebuilt temple within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume that your inner Jerusalem is already inhabited. Repeat, 'I am the LORD that maketh all things,' and feel the promise of rebuilding your life as a present reality; then keep this feeling for a few minutes each day.
