Chosen Servant of Inner Water
Isaiah 44:1-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God speaks to Jacob and Israel as the chosen; He promises help, fearlessness, and a transforming infusion of Spirit that makes life bloom.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you stands a state named Jacob, the servant chosen by the I AM. When you hear that voice, you are reminded that the LORD's help is the constant motion of your own awareness. The thirst is your longing for truth; the water upon the thirsty is the Spirit flowing into your mind, reviving ideas and opening ground that seemed barren. The floods upon the dry ground signify grace flooding every corner of thought, blessing your offspring—the next thoughts, plans, and encounters that spring to life. To be chosen is to accept your true identity as the I AM, not a distant deity but the ruler and source within you. One will say, I am the LORD's; another will call himself by the name of Jacob; yet all are naming the same inner allegiance. The outward names fade, while the inner consciousness—Israel—rises in conscious activity, a garden by the watercourses where life blooms from awareness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume the state of being the LORD's, gently repeating 'I am the LORD's' and feel Spirit pour into your mind; see your thoughts sprout like willows by watercourses.
