Inner Nations as Witness

Isaiah 43:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 43 in context

Scripture Focus

9Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
Isaiah 43:9

Biblical Context

Isaiah 43:9 invites all nations to assemble and testify to what is true; the ultimate judge of truth is the inner state and its memory of past events.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the I AM of your being, the nations are not distant peoples but the many states of your own mind. When Isaiah asks them to declare and show former things, he is inviting you to audit your memory and your beliefs—what past conditions you keep reliving and what future outcomes you seek to justify. The witnesses are not external scholars; they are your inner habits, your sensory impressions, your habitual thoughts that line up with a particular state. If these witnesses can only affirm the old story, you remain in bondage to it. But when you turn inward and identify with the awareness that you are, the I AM, you begin to gather new witnesses who testify that the new state is true. The moment you assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled, you are inviting the inner crowd to sing a different verdict: It is truth. In that inner tribunal, the outer world must reflect the declared truth, for all outward events are but manifestations of your inner conviction.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume the state you desire as already yours. Let the inner witnesses testify It is truth and dwell in that conviction until the feeling is real.
