New Thing Emerges Within

Isaiah 43:18-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 43 in context

Scripture Focus

18Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
19Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
20The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
21This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
Isaiah 43:18-21

Biblical Context

Do not dwell on the past; a new thing is coming that will guide and nourish you. You are formed to praise and to show forth the divine in your life.

Neville's Inner Vision

Remembering the former things is the dream of the old self; this scripture invites you to fall into the newness of consciousness. The 'I AM' in you speaks: a new thing shall spring forth now. The wilderness is not a place of barren fear but a stage for imagination; you create a way by the disciplined act of assuming the desired state. The rivers that appear in the desert are the thoughts and inspirations you allow to flow when you act as if you are already supported. The beasts and dragons are not enemies but projections of unresolved impulse that yield to the light of awareness. You are the people formed for myself; you are the living proof of praise when you live from the inner conviction that you are governed by the I AM. Therefore, your life becomes a natural expression of that praise as you walk by faith in the inner vision rather than by the memory of the old conditions.

Practice This Now

Take five minutes in quiet. State and feel: I am the I AM; I now forget the past, and a new thing springs forth; I walk a path through the wilderness, rivers appearing to feed my life.
