Forget the Past, Create Now
Isaiah 43:18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. The verse invites you to release memory of the past and not dwell on old things; it points to renewal through shifting your inner focus and imagination.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, remember that the verse speaks to your state of consciousness, not to a mere historical ledger. The past exists only as you keep it in attention; in truth, God—the I AM within you—is always this moment, ever creative. When you cling to yesterday, you narrow the table of possibilities and pretend that old results govern your life. But you are the imagination of God; you are the architect of your inner weather. The command to remember not the former things is a gentle invitation to revise the inner script. See the old scene as fiction and choose a new assumption: in this moment a new creation is begun. Imagination creates; by persistently dwelling in the envisioned renewal, you begin to feel the outcome before it appears in form. This is not denial but spiritual psychology: shifting the state, and the state shifts the world. Cast out the memory of lack, fear, and failure, and anchor yourself in the conviction that you are now the living representative of a fresh dawn.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, close your eyes, and declare: I forget the old. I now dwell in the new creation I choose, and I feel it as real.
