Called by Name, Not by Fear
Isaiah 43:1-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Isaiah 43:1-7 speaks to Israel as created, named, and redeemed by God; it promises God's presence through peril and declares a destiny tied to God's glory. It centers identity in relationship with God rather than fear.
Neville's Inner Vision
I hear Isaiah 43:1-7 as a lesson in the sovereign psychology of the soul. The LORD who created and formed Jacob and Israel is the I AM within you, declaring your true state: you are mine. Fear is dissolved not by external assurances, but by recognizing that you have already been redeemed and named by the Divine Presence. The warnings of waters, rivers, and fire are interior movements in consciousness; when you insist on the I AM as your center, these movements pass through without overwhelming you, and the flame cannot kindle your essence, for your essence is the image of God. The claim I am with thee becomes your inner dialogue: you are precious, loved, and called for a purpose. To know you are owned by the I AM is to realize you are not a separate self struggling through life, but a manifestation of divine life, created for glory. The outward promises to gather seed and to restore are inward harmonies, gathering scattered states into unity. Your task is to accept this identity and live from it, and the world rearranges to fit your inner confession.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In quiet imagination, declare, 'I am the I AM, and I am called by my name; I am with thee.' Feel a warm presence at the center of your chest; then envision walking through waters and through fire untouched, knowing you are joined to God within.
