I Am: The One Glory
Isaiah 42:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Isaiah 42:8 declares that the LORD is the true name of God, and His glory is not given to idols or graven images. No outward image can contain or define Him.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of verse as an inner decree: The LORD is the I AM within you, and this identity will not share its glory with any other image you entertain. Idols are merely believed images—graven thoughts that pretend to stand in place of the living consciousness. When you devote attention to fear, lack, or competing images—anything you call 'other'—you drain your sole authority and dim the glory that belongs to the I AM. Neville's method asks you to reverse the identification: affirm the self as the I AM here and now, and revise every thought that would divide your worship. Your true worship is consistent alignment—feeling the presence of the I AM as your only reality, and letting that inner state inform your actions, images, and desires. The glory you seek is not found in idols outside of you but is the luminous awareness within. Thus, holiness is not a rule you follow but a turning back to your sovereign consciousness, where no other god can claim charge over your life.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and affirm, I am the I AM; I will not share my glory with any image. Feel that awareness saturating your body and day, and revise any competing image by returning your attention to the inner I AM.
