Inner Strength of Divine Presence
Isaiah 41:8-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 41 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage declares Israel, as a chosen servant, whom God will not cast away. It urges fearless trust: God is with you, will strengthen, help, and uphold you.
Neville's Inner Vision
The servant Israel in the text is your inner state addressed by the I AM. When you hear I have chosen thee and not cast thee away, translate it as: you have chosen a state of consciousness and refuse to abandon it. The ends of the earth are the far-flung scenes of your life; God is not out there but within as awareness. The command Fear thou not; for I am with thee is not a distant promise but a reminder that your I AM accompanies every thought you entertain. Strengthening, helping, upholding with the right hand of righteousness describes the flow of creative imagination when you dwell in the feeling that you are the I AM and thus invulnerable. Your body and circumstances align to reflect this inner decision; doubt and dismay dissolve as you claim the presence that never leaves you. As you persist in this revision, you will see the outward world bending to the consciousness you have chosen.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and rest in the conviction that the I AM is with you as your constant presence. Repeat a concise revision like, 'I am chosen, I am not cast away,' and feel the strength uphold you.
