Inner Messenger From The North
Isaiah 41:25-29 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 41 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage speaks of a messenger coming from the north to Zion, bringing good tidings, while outer counsellors fail and idols prove empty; true guidance arises from within.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you the north-born messenger is the awakened I AM. The rising sun calling upon my name represents the moment you acknowledge the self as divinely aware—the I AM that knows, not through scholars, but through inner conviction. When that messenger comes, the old princes are ground underfoot, as morter is ground clay; your old identities are dissolved by the creative act of imagination shaping you anew. The verse confesses that no external counselor can declare righteousness, for every outward guide is but a reflection of your current state; when you ask within, the answer arrives from the divine self, not from another. Zion and Jerusalem are inner states you inhabit—your new state of good tidings—the moment you accept that the world you seek already exists as your present awareness. Vanity and wind refer to idol images you once worshiped; they vanish as you turn to the living I AM and claim responsibility for your reality. The coming of this messenger is your invitation to revise, assume, and feel as though the fulfilled state is already yours; you are the bearer of the good news.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume you are the north-born messenger already arising; feel the I AM stamping the clay of your life into a new form and dwell in the conviction that the good tidings are now. Repeat daily until the feeling is real.
