Eastward Victory Within
Isaiah 41:2-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 41 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Isaiah 41:2-5 describes God raising a righteous man from the east who governs nations and kings, while the world responds with awe as God proclaims himself the first and last.
Neville's Inner Vision
Read the passage as a description of your inner life. The east is the moment your consciousness rises from the sleep of limitation. The righteous man is a state of decision—your I AM—come awake. When you assume that inner ruler, outer events bend: nations and kings bow before the authority of your inner sight. The dust and stubble are the remnants of old beliefs dissolving as you move with a fresh footing that you have called into being. The LORD, the first and the last, is the constant you recognize within you: I AM, I was, I shall be. The isles and the ends of the earth are moved by the energy of this inward ascent; fear yields to recognition that you are the very origin of the world you see. The key is not to chase happenings, but to become the feeling of that ruler already established in your own consciousness. When you do, your world will align to reflect your inner government.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and imagine the inner ruler rising from the east; feel the sense of your I AM taking the lead of your day, and let circumstances reflect that inner government. Repeat 'I AM the first and the last' until the feeling is real.
