Eastward Rise Within

Isaiah 41:2-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 41 in context

Scripture Focus

2Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.
3He pursued them, and passed safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet.
Isaiah 41:2-3

Biblical Context

The passage presents a righteous man raised from the east by God, who governs nations and moves through obstacles as his path is made clear.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner scripture, the east is the sudden birth of a state of consciousness you call I AM. God raises that righteous man within you, calls him to your foot, and places the world before him as thoughts and circumstances to be governed by your awareness. When you assume this state, the ‘nations’ before him are the conditions of life stirred by your will; to the extent you remain conscious of I AM, you rule over the 'kings' of fear, doubt, and limitation. The proof of power is not outside conquest but inner obedience: the dust to his sword, the stubble to his bow—those are the remnants of resistance dissolved by the flame of inward knowing. He pursues and passes safely, even by the way he has not walked; that is, you traverse conditions by the certainty of your consciousness, not by external steps. In this moment, you are the author of events, and Providence responds to your inner decree. Believe you stand in that risen state, and the world rearranges itself to reflect your inner government.

Practice This Now

Assume the state now: affirm 'I AM the eastward rise' and feel the path opening before you; hold that feeling as you move.
