Inner Exile, Inner Renewal
Isaiah 39:6-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 39 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
It describes a coming time when all possessions and what your fathers laid up will be carried away to Babylon, leaving nothing behind, and your offspring will be taken away and rendered powerless in the king’s palace.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through the I AM, these words are not a literal forecast but an inner transformation. Babylon represents a consciousness of exile from your true self, where attachment to house, wealth, and lineage binds you to an outer sense of security. The decree that nothing remains signifies the stripping away of the old identity built on these outer props. Your sons becoming eunuchs symbolizes the temporary loss of outward potency when the mind is redirected from externals to the inner realm. The passage, then, is a blessing: as the old consciousness yields, you are prepared to awaken to a new state of being. Realize that the kingdom you truly inhabit is within the I AM, and all needs flow from that Presence when you imagine from that center. The exile is the doorway back to the inner sovereignty you have always possessed, a sacred rearrangement that returns you to power in consciousness rather than property.
Practice This Now
Assume the state of fullness as your natural self, as though the old possessions and titles never defined you. Feel it real by affirming I AM ownership of your experience and dwelling in the inner kingdom until this new reality registers as sensation.
