Highway of Holiness and Joy
Isaiah 35:8-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Isaiah 35:8-10 describes a highway called the way of holiness where the unclean cannot pass. The redeemed walk this path, and joy replaces sorrow.
Neville's Inner Vision
I tell you, the highway is a state of consciousness you choose to inhabit. The way of holiness is not a distant road in the dust, but the disciplined cast of your attention toward the truth of I AM. When you assume you are already on that road, the unclean thoughts—fear, doubt, guilt—cannot pass over it, for you have declared your identity elsewhere. The wayfaring man, even the fool, need not err therein because you have fixed your gaze on the end of the road: Zion within, where songs rise and joy is everlasting. The beasts of pride and anger do not roam there; they are banished by inward alignment. The redeemed, those who awaken to their true nature, walk this path and return to the inner city of peace. You are the ransomed of the LORD, you are bought back to your true self, and as you walk, sorrow and sighing flee away. Inner life becomes outer song; your days are lit with the music of joy that never ends.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are already on that highway; feel the joy as if you have returned home, and declare softly, 'I AM that I AM; I walk the way of holiness.'
