Desert Bloom Within
Isaiah 35:2-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 35 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage promises flourishing in the wilderness, strength for the fearful, and miraculous openings of sight and sound. It culminates in waters breaking forth and parched ground turning to pools.
Neville's Inner Vision
Assume you are the glory described: the desert of lack becomes the garden of your awareness. The 'glory of the LORD' you seek is the vivid felt presence of your I AM awakening to itself. The opening of eyes and ears, the leap of the lame, are inner capacities already resident in you, awaiting your decision to claim them. The command to be strong is a shift of state, not a demand to push outward. As you dwell in the truth that God will come and save you, you declare that salvation is already underway within you, arising the moment you turn attention from absence to presence. The wilds yield to streams when you water them with attention; dragons in their habitat are simply thoughts dissolving as you stay in I AM.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and envision the desert around you turning to a garden, waters breaking forth, and your inner senses revived. Repeat softly, I AM here; I AM saved.
