Inner Kingdom Revealed

Isaiah 34:12-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 34 in context

Scripture Focus

12They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing.
13And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls.
Isaiah 34:12-13

Biblical Context

Nobles and princes disappear from the outer realm, and thorns overgrow the fortresses. The land becomes a habitation of dragons and owls.

Neville's Inner Vision

All the prophecies speak to states of consciousness, not weather on hills. When Isaiah says they shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, you are being told to invite your most regal thoughts into the inner temple while realizing the outer throne has nothing to receive them. The princes shall be nothing; this is the shedding of egoic titles you have worn in belief. And the thorns in her palaces, the nettles and brambles in the fortresses, are the ways your old stories resist the new order. Dragons and owls become the inner weather of a mind that has forgotten its own sovereignty. Yet you are invited to awake as the I AM, the awareness that creates and sustains the world. When you stop seeking security in kingdoms outside, the inner kingdom becomes your home, and the outer world rearranges to reflect that inner peace.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and in your imagination enter the inner kingdom; declare silently I AM the ruler here. Feel the inner sovereignty already real, and watch the outer castles fade in your mental image.
