Isaiah 33:14

Biblical Context

The verse declares that Zion’s sinners tremble and hypocrites are surprised. It asks who can dwell with the devouring fire and everlasting burnings.

Neville's Inner Vision

To read Isaiah 33:14 through Neville's lens, the sinners and hypocrites are inner states of consciousness, not distant people. Fear and judgment are the debris that obscure your I AM. The devouring fire is the living presence of Truth, a flame that purifies by revealing you are awareness, not a separate self. When you ask who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire, you are really asking if you can allow your I AM to dwell as this fire. The answer is yes: dwell as the I AM and you are transformed by purification, not threatened by doom. Fire does not punish; it reveals. It exposes that the restless self trembles because it believes it is apart from divine presence. By choosing to align with this inward flame, you release fear, judgment, and hypocrisy and return to the unity of consciousness that already resides within. In this practice, the night of illusion becomes the light of assurance, and the day of presence reveals your true identity as awareness, unconditionally intact.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and consciously dwell in the I AM, assuming that you are the one who dwells with the devouring fire. Repeat this until the purification feels real and you know you are awareness.
