Isaiah 32:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 32 in context

Scripture Focus

1Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.
2And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
Isaiah 32:1-2

Biblical Context

Isaiah 32:1-2 speaks of a king reigning with righteousness and princes ruling with judgment, while a man serves as shelter from winds and storms.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, behold the verse and enter the throne room of your own consciousness. A king shall reign in righteousness—this is the I AM in you assuming the regal posture of awareness. When you declare, I reign in righteousness, you authorize every thought and sensation to move in divine order and you begin to see discernment replace fear. The line that a man becomes a hiding place from the wind and a covert from the tempest describes your state as shelter, a steady sanctuary that the wind cannot move. Your attention becomes a bank of still water—rivers in a dry place—refreshing, nourishing, and clarifying perception. And the shadow of a great rock in a weary land is the unwavering sense of presence that protects you from outer storms. This is the Kingdom of God—the inner sovereignty of imagination—becoming real as you dwell in the feeling of being ruled by the I AM.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the posture of the reigning King within, repeating 'I reign in righteousness' until the body relaxes into that assurance. Then dwell there as if you are a shelter from every wind—let the feeling of protection and flow become your reality.
