Inner Power Over External Power
Isaiah 31:2-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Outward powers are not the ultimate rescue; true strength comes from the inner God within. Worldly help fades when your inner reality is not aligned with that Presence.
Neville's Inner Vision
Be aware that the oracle speaks not of distant history but of your own inner mechanism. The 'Egyptians' are the visible props you lean on—money, status, friendships—yet they are men, not God. Their horses are flesh, not spirit. When the LORD stretches out his hand, both he that helpeth and he that is holpen fall, for you have relied on forms rather than the formless Presence. This is not punishment but a teacher's correction: consciousness is the Creator, and you become aware of it by turning from dependence on edges of circumstance to the I AM that dwells within. As you acknowledge that Presence as your sole source, the external world begins to rearrange itself to reflect that new assumption. Your fear dissolves, your plans soften, and outcomes appear as you imagined them inwardly. The verse invites you to practice revision: declare that no outer power can save you apart from the inner God, and feel the reality of that Presence guiding every action. In this light, eviction of old substitutes becomes the birth of genuine security.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and declare to yourself: I am the I AM; there is only one power within me. Revise any belief in external Egypt and feel the Presence as your sole strength now.
