Inner Trust Over Might
Isaiah 31:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 31 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse warns against trusting in outward power and alliances. True security lies in seeking the Holy One within.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider Isaiah 31:1 as a parable of your present state. The Israelites who go down to Egypt for help are simply you, seeking security in forms—paying homage to outward strength, cavalry of opinions, the 'horses' of status. But the Holy One of Israel is the I AM within, the presence you deny when you chase a plan outside your being. In your true self, God is not a distant petition but your own consciousness awake. When you align with the I AM, you stop measuring life by armies or alliances; you notice that the outer world mirrors your interior conditions. Neville's method would have you revise the belief: 'I look to the Holy One within, and I trust the One Presence as my supply.' Then, feel it as real—you are the same God-stuff, the same Self right now, perceiving through you as you. The moment you assume this inner state, all calculations of danger dissolve, because the mind that evaluates is itself God in expression. Your imagination becomes the chariot you ride, not a mere tool—proof that Providence guides every step.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the state of the I AM within. Declare, 'I look to the Holy One within for my supply,' and then feel the assurance as if it is already yours.
