Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse describes a burden carried by the beasts from the south into a land of trouble, with riches carried to a people who profit them not.
Neville's Inner Vision
This is not history but a description of your inner state. The burden of the beasts of the south is the weight you carry when you mistake outer images for life. The land of trouble and anguish is the inner weather of fear, lack, and doubt that arises when you forget the I AM within. The young and old lion, the viper, and the fiery flying serpent are the habitual thoughts and appetites that roam your mind—persistent, hungry, and eating the peace you imagine you will gain elsewhere. They will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses and their treasures upon the bunches of camels to a people that shall not profit them—unless you choose to stop chasing them outward and begin to claim a different state. The solution is not to argue with the world but to awaken to the truth that God is I AM and that wealth, safety, and plenty are already present as your inner state. By assuming that state and feeling it real, you remove the old drama from the stage and let your consciousness realize what has always been yours.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled, that I AM wealth, I AM provided, right now; dwell in that state for several minutes and let it soften the old fear.
